What a Fast Little Engine!

Work for Violin and Bass Clarinet

Purchase
Score and Parts - $30

What a Fast Little Engine!, sometimes referred to as What a Fast Little Engine!: Scenes from 'Choo-Choo', was commissioned by Box Not Found for their Stories concert series. The music retells the story of Virginia Lee Burton's 1930's children's book Choo-Choo: The Story of a Little Engine Who Ran Away through music. As an added bonus for the audience, many of the illustrations from the book, drawn in black-and-white by Burton herself, are presented in a coordinated slideshow; this pairing directly connects the music to the images and actions in the book.

The slideshow used for performance will also be provided upon purchase of score and parts.
